The port captain's office is on Matamoros Street (Fee 2007 - $20).
Immigration is situated near the Pemex fuel station. The Immigration fee is to be paid at a bank (2007 - $20).
Many cruisers use an agent in Cabo San Lucas, which can be
expensive, but many feel is necessary. Officials do not make it easy or convenient to clear into Cabo San Lucas and it can take two days to get all of the approvals.

It is possible to anchor off the beach north of the
inner harbor, though the anchorage is not very protected and in order the land the dinghy you must travel through the busy
narrow entrance into the inner harbor. Panga water taxis are available from the anchorage into the inner harbor. There is a small anchorage fee.
