 Nouadhibou : Profile
This is the main commercial port of Mauritania. It lies on the eastern shore of a long, narrow peninsula in the far north of the country.
The port authority (Etablissement Maritime) should be contacted on arrival on VHF Channel 16 for instructions. There is an inner quay where a yacht can come alongside for clearance. The yacht may be searched.
