Gzira : Profile
Located on the north-eastern coast of Malta between Msida & Sliema, and bordering on Ta' Xbiex. The word Gżira means "island" in Maltese, and the town is named after Manoel Island which lies just adjacent to the town. See the wonderful views of the walled city of Valletta from the seafront, illuminated at night.
The newer Manoel Island Marina may well have more space available than the other marinas in Marsamxett Harbour.
Customs and Immigration are situated 10 minutes (half a mile) away from the marina. Arriving boats can advise Valletta Port by Radio and go directly to the Marina.
Manoel Island Marina is located just off Sliema, the island's main shopping and entertainment area. The main chandlers of the island are located within walking distance from the Marina as are customs and immigration. See photo for location of marina on Manoel Island.
