Clearance

Authorised entry point by sea

The Jabatan Laut (Marine Department) can be found at the main wharf.

The Customs and Harbour Master are near the Sri Malaysia Hotel.

Immigration department is a Wisma Persekutuan, a 20 minute walk up Jalan Sultan Ismail.

Docking

Kuala Terengganu is the centre for Malay culture and heritage and a facinating town.

The newly dredged channel to Kuala Terengganu makes the approach straightforward. There is a new marina here (2007) but with no facilities yet. Entry and exit are difficult in the strong (3kn) currents and it is on an island with no access to the town.

There is plenty of space to anchor inside the breakwater and two or three set of steps at which to land.
