Japan, Seto Inland Sea: Register your interest for the Setouchi Yacht Rally 2017

The first Setouchi Rally took place in the Autumn of 2013. It has since been repeated annually in the Seto Inland Sea, with both foreign and Japanese boats. It is the perfect stress-free way to visit this wonderful cruising ground.

The first Setouchi Rally too place in the Autumn of 2013. It has since been repeated annually in the Seto Inland Sea, with both foreign and Japanese boats. In 2016 the rally was scheduled to run in May, however, was canceled at the beginning of April due to lack of participants.

Keen to run another successful rally in 2017, Chokokai has already started planning following the preliminary announcement in June. This rally offers cruising sailors a great opportunity to see a little-visited country with expert guides, meet local sailors and discover the highlights without having to deal with all the red tape.

The Rally 2017 will be held in May 2017 for one or two weeks in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan. It will be a small rally, with between 10 and 15 boats taking part. The itinerary and ports of call are still to be determined, as are the additional cultural activities and rally fee.

At this stage, the organizers are keen to know of any cruising sailors who might be interested in taking part, either in 2017 or 2018.
