Fukuoka (Hakata) : Profile

Location

This large city is the most important centre on Kyushu. The port is call Hakata and it lies on the NW coast of the island.

Position 33°37'N, 130°23'E.

Clearance

This is a Port of Entry and either of the marinas will notify the officials of your arrival. They will then visit the boat to do the paperwork.

This has to be done even if you have already cleared into the county.

Docking

This port is well marked and can be entered at night.

There are two marinas here. The newer one, Marinoa marina is more secure but berthing fees are higher.

Fukuoka is a vibrant city and most goods and services are available.

Berth on the W side of one of the three long N-S running visitors' fingers before enquiring at the office for a berth further in (where there is greater protection).
Water, showers, WiFi in marina office, haulout and repairs.

Hakata, Fukuoka, Japan
This is a newer marina with water, electricity, fuel berth, small chandlery, haulout and repairs can be arranged. Secure berths.
