Kingston is the capital and largest city of Jamaica, located on the southeastern coast of the island. It faces a natural harbor protected by the Palisadoes, a long sand spit which connects the town of Port Royal and the Norman Manley International Airport to the rest of the island.

We anchored in front of the royal jamaican yacht club in march 2017 for a week. We felt safe and we didn’t have any issues at all. Of course we took the normal safety precautions; dinghy up and lock the door at night. We could use the great amenties of the yacht club for a very small, fair fee. The yacht club management is very friendly and extraordinarily helpful.
