Trieste : Profile
This town is tucked away in the extreme NW corner of the Adriatic. An outpost of Italy surrounded by Solvenia. A notable feature of the seafront, is the lighthouse built as a memorial to the dead of the 1st World War.
Position 45° 38.4'N, 13° 45.2'E.
This is a Port of Entry.
Customs and Immigration are based in the large building on Molo Bersaglieri.
The Harbour office is near the Canale Grande, in the Carciotti Palace.
Marina near the old harbour is subject to bad surge and exposed to the Bora.
Berth in Marina San Giusto or, leave the marina to starboard and berth in Bacino Sacchette, at one of the two yacht clubs. Prior permission should be obtained first.
As an alternative to Trieste, the port of Monfalcone, 10 miles north, has several marinas, or Muggia 2 miles across the bay.
The inner harbour and the marina are both well sheltered but the bora can blow strongly here.

PSR is located near the town of Muggia in the Gulf of Trieste and is a world-class marina for yachts up to 60 m. The marina is close to a pedestrian tourist complex.
