San Remo : Profile
All the authorities are at Marina Porto Sole.
San Remo is about 20 miles east of Monaco, on the Cote d' Azur. The marina of Porto Sole is very well protected and has every modern facility. The old harbour, Porto Vecchio, is more crowded but has a wonderful Italian atmosphere.
The Old Town of San Remo is very interesting with building from the Roman period onwards.
Ten miles further east is the port of Maurizio. A new marina is being built here, but the existing port provides good shelter and services. It is also an ancient town with old streets and little winding alleys.
