Yachts can use the (disused) ferry quay for free for one night in the harbour. There are also several marinas in the vicinity including the new (2009) Marina di Olbia, at the SE end of the harbour.
Reports from summer 2005 were of several yachts being broken into whilst anchored in Olbia, while the crew were ashore or on another yacht. Anyone considering anchoring should leave someone on board if leaving the boat during the evening. Yachts moored against the wall were not affected.
