This town is 30 miles north of the entrance to the River Tiber, and provides a secure and convenient port in which to leave a boat while visiting Rome.
There is a small private club in the commercial harbour that offers docking for visiting yachts. The advantage being it is in the city. They provide water (however not clean) and electricity, cold showers on the dock and hot
showers for a fee at the commercial harbour facilities.

Riva di Traiano Via Aurelia, 53000 Civitavecchia Tel:+39 (0)766 500 762, Fax:+39 (0)766 500 696, VHF Channel 9 Conveniently located near Rome, this large marina, two miles south of Civitavecchia, has excellent docking facilities, fuel, chandlery and supermarket. It also offers a complete range of repair facilities as well as a boatyard with two travelifts up to 120 tons. The marina monitors Channel 9 permanently. Boats on the outer pontoons are subject to severe surging in strong winds. Clean, modern marina with good security.
