Lying on the north coast of Maui, Kahului is a commercial port, but one which welcomes cruising boats.
Position 20°53.4'N, 156°28.2'W.
Yachts should berth at the commercial wharf for clearance before anchoring in the harbour.

This is a good, clean harbour which is well protected.
There is an anchorage for yachts in the south of the harbour, between the turning basin and the beach. Boats are allowed to stay 3 days before moving on.
Report to the Harbour Master, once anchored.
There is no safe or convenient place to leave the dinghy.
