Situated on the south east coast of the island, Honolulu is the state capital. Any boater requiring maintenance work, reprovisioning, crew changes or just a change of scene, will eventually visit here.
Position 21°16.0'N, 157°50.7'W.
Clearance is best done at Ala Wai yacht harbour.

The main yacht harbour here is the huge Ala Wai marina, SE of the city centre. There is no anchoring area in this harbour.
If no advance reservation has been made, first stop at the fuel berth to sta'bd just inside the entrance or, if not requiring fuel, go to the loading dock by the huge Ilikai hotel where you can stop for 30 minutes, while one of the crew identifies a vacant berth.
If you are a member of a yacht club, call either the Hawaii YC or the Waikiki YC, both of which have guest berthing.
Keehi Lagoon (Marinas & Moorings)
The mooring field does not appear to be maintained and the marinas (Keehi Marine Center and La Marina marina) were damaged by a typhoon in May 2011.

All facilities, fuel dock, pump-out facility. The harbour also includes areas used by Hawaii Yacht Club, Waikiki Yacht Club and Royal Hawaiian Ocean Racing Club. Med-style moorings.
Keehi Marine Center 24 Sand Island Access Road , Honolulu, HI 96819 Tel:808-845-6465 , Fax:808-841-6610 office@keehimarine.com Private marina and boatyard. 160 berths, vessels up to 60 feet, visitors berths available. Water, electricity, 24 hour fuel dock. Boatyard facilities include 150-ton Travelift, small and large vessel haulouts, 25-ton crane, Fully contained sandblasting and painting building, Work dock area for in-water repairs. Air, water, and electricity, Convenience/Marine hardware store and laundry on site.

Not recommended (in an industrial area; thefts; dirty; hangout for the homeless).
La Marina Sailing Club 50 Sand Island Access Road, Ke'ehi Lagoon, Honolulu, (adjacent to Ke'ehi Marine Centre) Tel:808 845 7738 Opening Hours: Restaurant hours: 11am-9pm(Sun-Thu), 11am-12am (Fri & Sat) This relaxed little club often has berths available for visiting boats. Bar and restaurant.

A few berths available for short stays. Diesel, gasoline (without ethanol-89 octane) available, also laundromat, showers, internet cafe, pay phones, free wireless, fill propane tanks and groceries. Can also help with clearance. WiFi.
The Hawaii Yacht Club in Honolulu will allow visitors to use its facilities for a fee, but this is usually limited to a maximum period of two weeks.
