Haleiwa : Profile
This harbour is on the north coast of Oahu and is a useful spot to wait if the trade winds are particulaly strong. It is an interesting town with many craft shops.
Position 21°36.4'N, 158°07.0'W.
Call the Harbour master is you want a berth. All the slips in the marina are leased, but he may be able to find you a free space.
There is an anchorage outside the inner breakwater, on the eastern side of the main entrance. The holding is good in mud and sand.
Dinghies can be left at the temporary dock in the inner harbour.
Anchoring is limited to 72 hours.
