Port Louis : Profile
There is a squad of Customs and Immigration (Police) based here. Take the main road up past the Post Office, then turn right. The office is a couple of buildings along.
This is not an official Port of Entry, although the officials here try to be helpful.
Lying on the NW coast of Grande Terre, this is an attractive small fishing port. A new port is being built here to cater for both fishing a pleasure boats. While this work is being done, take case with the depth of the bar at the entrance, as the work is causing it to build up.
There is a breakwater and a 150 metre long pier. Maximum draught is 1.5m. Gas is available.
There is another anchorage at the northern end of the town, although is can be subject to swell.
