    Data Entry5 says:

While the town and surroundings are great, the harbor is large and any significant breeze creates a good sized chop or swell quickly.

It is essentially open to the W and NW and with a strong breeze from those directions, the South Dock is a very bad place to be.

The East Dock has large “pads” or groups of truck tires for big ships and it’s a challenge keeping the boat and the fenders on them.

The port police may also require you to leave from the East Dock whenever they think a large vessel is coming.
