Docking

This ancient Breton fishing port lies a little off the direct route south between Chenal du Four and Raz de Sien, but is worth a visit, especially during the Maritime Festival. This is held every 4 years (leap years) and is a mecca for traditional craft of all sizes.

There are several options for berthing. On the west bank of the Riviere de Pouldavid at Treboul, opposite the southern tip of the Ile Tristan. In northerly winds, this can be a little uncomfortable as the swell creeps round the end of the breakwater.

In the floating harbour at Port Rhu. This is the most secure berth, being totally sheltered. The remaining option is the anchorage in Rade du Guet, SW of Ile Tristan. Dinghies can be safely landed at Plages des Dames.

There may also be a vacant mooring in Port de Rosmeur. Contact the harbourmaster first.
