A modern city and commercial port on the south east coast. Its approaches are attractive as you weave the 50NM through a maze of off-shore islands.

There are several marinas but the city-run guest harbour is the most convenient, although it gets very full in the high season. It is on the north bank of the Aura river.
It may be possible to anchor off one of the more remote islands, but those nearer the city are private.

This yard is located on NW coast of the island of Satava off the main fairway to Turku and about 5m SW of Turku. The entrance is south of a small island between the islands of Jarvistensaari and Satava about 7 cables due east of the Rajakari lighthouse. Yellow sign with word "CABEL" in black should be located and left to starboard. Small green and red buoys mark the entrance channel (caution - the channel is narrow and curved) Thoroughly professional yard with good facilities.
Infrequent bus service from Turku.
