  Mariehamn : Profile

Location

The town is on the large peninsula projecting from the southern shore of the principal island of Aland. It is an attractive place of old wooden houses and pavement cafes. It has an ancient seafaring tradition of which it is justifiably proud.

Docking

There are harbours on both sides of the peninsula, which, although only a mile apart by land, require an early decision about which to head for when approaching by sea.

Opening Hours: Office hrs 0800-2100
All facilities. Close to the town centre. Take any vacant berth and then call at the office. The club also has a marina on the island of Rödhmn, 10 nm south of Mariehamn.

Lemstroms kanal Swing Bridge

Opening Hours: From 08:00 to 17:30(May, Sept,Oct) & to 21:50(June,July)
Opened on the hour for 10 minutes. For a fee of 10euro, the bridge can be opened after closing hours.

Shelter is good in strong SW’lies. All facilities. Some provisions and is close to the maritime quarter.

Lat 60deg 06'.6N, Long 19deg 55'.6E This yard is located on the west side of Mariehamn peninsula in the Aland Islands. Haulout, lifting cradle, repairs and winter berthing. Larger boats can be lifted out by crane but must be stored outside.
