A small seaside town, approximately 65NM east of Helsinki. It is well known for its fortifications and the wooden houses in the Old Town.

The town is at the head of a long narrow inlet and has a guest harbour to the SE of the town centre.

Valco is located on the West Bank of the Loviisaviken, some 2.8nm south of Loviisa. Loviisa has an excellent marina with all facilities including fuel. 40ft lift capacity, cold and hot heated sheds and outside hard standing. The yard can undertake most engineering works. It also specialises in repair and construction of wooden yachts.
