  Kihnu : Profile

Location

This is a low-lying, sandy island in the Gulf of Riga. Its forests have the appearance of a park, because the underbrush is collected and used for fuel. This is the only island in Estonia where the integrity of the culture of the native inhabitants has been retained. Ther local women wear attractive folk costumes as everyday clothes.

Position 58°08.52'N, 24°01.36'E.

Docking

This harbour is exposed to winds from northerly and easterly directions.

Berthing is a pontoon with buoys.

There is a village with some services about 2km from the harbour.
