Barillas Marina : Profile

Location

Barillas is located on the Bahia de Jiguilisco, the entrance of which is about 75NM from Cutuco. This quiet Bahia is one of the best cruising grounds on the West Coast of El Salvador and a haven for wildlife.

Position 13° 15.7' N, 88° 25.2' W.

Clearance

Clearance is straightforward and can be made with customs and immigration at the marina. There is no cost to check into El Salvador.

Request your international zarpe before departing El Salvador for your next country of visit. If you plan to cruise within El Salvadoran waters, request a national zarpe.

Docking

The marina is approximately 10NM from the entrance of Bahia Jiquilisco.

Call the marina one hour in advance of your arrival at the channel entrance. A panga will come out and accompany the yacht over the bar up the channel to the marina. The service is free and operates in daylight hours only.

This marina welcomes visiting yachts. Full service marina with fuel and internet access available. Small shop.
The Marina monitors SSB frequency 8.1220 from 07:00 to 19:00 hours, seven days a week. Also Air to Air frequency 131.00. Call in advance of arrival.
