Docking

Roseau, the capital of Dominica, is on the west coast, towards the sothern tip of the island. It has some wonderfully attractive old buildings, many of which have been recently restored. The whole town has an authentic caribbean atmosphere.

There are buoys off the town but the two nearest the cruise ship dock cannot be used when there is a cruise ship in. Contact Fort Young VHF 16. These buoys are the closest to the town, but there are more further south. It is advisable to check the state of any mooring used.

The main yacht anchorage is between the Green Flash Bar and Sea World. There is also stern-to berthing at the wall in front of the Anchorage Hotel, which has a dinghy dock. There are plans to extend this facility to offer fuel and water.
