Sonderborg : Profile
Sønderborg is the principal town on the island of Als, which lies just off the mainland, in the area of the Baltic known as The Little Belt. This pretty town has one of the most beautiful harbours in Denmark. It also boasts of ‘cozy’ shopping streets as well as a large variety of restaurants and historical buildings.
It is a commercial harbour, but there is also space for visitors in the yacht harbour at the bottom of Ringgade.
It is possible to moor alongside the main harbour wall, sheltered from the weather by the massive brick-built Sonderborg Castle.
