Elsinore : Profile
This harbour (written Helsingør in Danish) regards itself as the Gateway to the Baltic. It sits immediately opposite the closest mainland point to Sweden.
The commercial port lies just south of Kronborg Castle (Hamlet's castle). It prides itself on being a centre for traditional wooden sailing boats.
Position 56°02.4'N,12°37.2'E.
All authorities are in the port.
Due to rebuilding of the port it will be inaccessible for all vessels except ferries to and from Sweden in the period of July 1st 2008 to the end of August 2010.
