Karpaz Gate Marina : Profile

Location

The Karpaz peninsula is a stunning, pristine cruising area, only recently opened up after decades of restriction.

Karpaz Gate Marina, located in Yenierenkoy Harbour on the Karpaz peninsula, is halfway along the north coast of the peninsula, making it a very convenient port of call for those cruising the Eastern Mediterranean. It is however quite an isolated spot - see cruisers' reports adjacent.

Position 35°33.5’N, 34°13.6’E.

Clearance

This is not a Port of Entry. Clearance formalities must be completed at the Girne (Kyrenia) Delta Marina. This is a good place to provision.

Docking

The new marina opened in June 2011. It has a wide range of services, although not all is yet completed. The staff are very helpful.

The associated boatyard with 300 ton travelift and repair services is due to be operational from September 2011.

Alongside berthing, Med Mooring and Finger pontoons (depending on size of yacht). Full service facilities planned: sewage removal, security cameras, WiFi, diving centre, chandlery, laundry, supermarkets, duty free store, restaurant, car rental.
Boatyard with 300 ton travelift, hard standing, high pressure jet wash and modern workshops due to open beginning of September 2011.
