Elaphite Islands : Profile
This group of islands are strung along the coast between Dubrovnik and the Peljesac Peninsula.
There are plenty of sheltered anchorages among these islands.
Kolocep
Donje Celo - at the head of a deep bay on the NW side of the island. An anchorage but with an overnight berth possible on the ferry quay. No fuel or water. Shop, cafe, restaurant and post office in the village.
Lpoud
There are two anchorages, one on the north and one on the southern side. Uvala Lopud - on the north, has good holding. Village has shops, post office, restaurants and cafe/bars. No public water tap.
Uvala Sunj - open to the SE but otherwise sheltered. Cafe/bar only.
Sipan
Luka - This is the main village on the island. Moor stern-to the quay, but avoid the ferry berth. Store with bread and groceries, post office, restaurants and cafe/bars. No water tap or fuel.
Suourad - This small harbour is on the SE of the island. Berth stern-to just inside the harbour. Local produce (cheese, wine and ham) and fish. Restaurant.
Jakljan
Uvala Kosmec - An attractive anchorage in a wooded bay. Open to the NW otherwise good shelter. Good holding.
