  Corralejo : Profile

Docking

The approach to Corralejo calls for care as there are various outlying dangers. Reefs to the north and north west of the harbour entrance. Car ferries entering or leaving the ferry dock are not easily visible (at night the ferry dock is lit by bright floodlights). There are four pontoons, one reserved for excursion boats (the one running parallel to the quay). Larger yachts should come alongside the quay east o the ferry terminal but must be prearranged with the port official. Space for anchoring is limited by rocky shallows near the beach and ferries need room for manoeuvre. Arriving yachts should either anchor or come alongside excursion boat pontoon if possible. Port official should be contacted and he will advise where to dock or anchor.

Corralejo
A busy ferry port at the northern extremity of Fuerteventura. The port has been expanded and now has four pontoons.
The visitors pontoon is long, the first one you come to on entering. Mooring only on the sea side as charter boats take up all the space on the other side. Water and electrics good and regular security at night. Very good pricing.
Arriving yachts should anchor or come to the visitors pontoon if there is space. The skipper should then go ashore and contact the port official who will allocate a space. The office is on the main quay by the ferry terminal.
Entrance to the port is easy but watch out for large ferries entering and leaving at speed.

Port Office
(in the ferry terminal building)
Tel:0034 928 866524
Opening Hours: 0730-2000 daily.
Outside office hours a security guard will patrol the port area and will deal with arriving yachts.
