  Bandar Seri Bagawan : Profile

Clearance

The port is up the river and is no longer used as a commercial port, but local boats use it and yachts can clear there although in practice none do as one would have to motor/sail past Muara commercial port and Serasa Ferry Terminals (where they should do their clearance) to travel about 10 nm up the Brunei River to get to BSB.

Docking

It is possible to take your yacht right up into Bandar Seri Begawan, just keep to the marked channel. It is not a particlarly comfortable anchorage due to the amount of traffic on the water causing a constant chop but it is very convenient for the town. Hail a taxi to take you ashore (but it is advisable to leave someone on board).

The RBYC has another location at 04°53.85'N, 114°59.26'S. There is a dinghy dock, showers, restaurant and WiFi.
