BVI: Warning about the Rise in Dinghy Thefts

Official warning by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force. Boaters should be extra cautious during the summer months about securing their dinghies and outboard motors.

See this report from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) about the recent rise in dinghy thefts, in particular, from Cane Garden Bay and Road Town.

The RVIPF also urges dinghy owners to exercise caution. “Police are reminding boat and dinghy owners to consistently lock and secure these vessels to docks and yachts as theft of these items is beginning to rise. Charters boat companies are also urged to instruct visitors and guests to do the same.”
