Sao Sebastiao : Profile
The island of Sao Sebastiao is about 45 NM north of Santos. It lies just 2 miles off the coast, opposite the town of the same name.
Position 23°50'S, 45°22'W.
All the necessary authorities are on the waterfront in the town of San Sebastiao.
The only possible mooring on the mainland is in the small basin behind the ferry termnal. Here you berth among the fishing boats. There are no anchorages this side of the channel.
On the island of Sao Sebastiao there are several options of swinging moorings on the west coast, anchoring in front of the village, or in various anchorages around the north and east coasts.
There are several yacht clubs here and most offer a few days free mooring to visitors.
For repairs, supplies, chandlery or banking etc. it is better to moor on the island and take the ferry to the mainland.

Ilha Bella Yacht Club (just N of the main village on the island) VHF Channel 16 "Delta 24" Visitors can use a courtesy mooring for a couple of days, but the yacht club facilities are reserved for members and their guests. Visitors' buoys are white. There is a dinghy dock. Water taxi service.
