Porto Belo : Profile

Location

Located just north of Florianopolis, this area is very quiet and beautiful.

Clearance

Yachts must check in with the Capitania Dos Portos in Itajai, about 45 minutes away by car.

Docking

There is a yacht club here with good facilities. Take care if asked to tie alongside the outer wall as the pier is tall and the lower freeboards of sailing vessels make this not a good choice. There are slips available to members only inside the pier.

Cruisers have reported to feel very safe walking around the neighboring areas. There is a good mechanic at the yacht club and nearby repair facilities.

Provisioning is fair here.

This is a very high end club, and no English is spoken, except by a few of the members. Moor to a mooring ball and tie to the outer harbour pier. Potable water and electricity on the pier. Security reported to be v. good. Wi-Fi is available at the clubhouse and the restaurant is open Thursday-Sunday. Laundry available on site. Fuel Dock (payable in Reals).
