Punta Gorda : Profile
Punta Gorda is the largest town in southern Belize, having about six thousand inhabitants. With its friendly people, slow pace of life and minimal traffic, it is the perfect place from which to explore southern Belize.
Entry and exit formalities are much simpler here.
All of the services you need to check-in/out are now centrally located in one
building. This is a white block building with "WELCOME TO BELIZE", easily seen from the anchorage with a concrete pier.
The Immigration office here is the spot to check out before continuing on to the Rio Dulce.

There is a dock in front of the town, but basically this is an anchorage.
The town has a hospital, a police station, a bank (with ATM), a post office, a gas station, and various grocery stores, hotels, restaurants and bars.
