Corvo : Profile
Corvo Island (meaning the Island of the Crow), is the smallest and the northernmost island of the Azores archipelago, with a population of approximately 468 inhabitants (in 2006) constituting the smallest single municipality in Azores and in Portugal.
The village of Vila do Corvo is located in the south of the Island, and the only anchorage is here also at 39 40'2N 31 06'5W.
After clearing at Lajes das Flores, or another port of entry of the Azores, yachts
can visit this island.
Corvo does not have a Marina, just an anchorage which is deep and rocky. Visiting boats should not be left unattended because of the poor anchorage conditions and weather instability.
On many days of the year here, no boats whatsoever (including local fishing boats and ferries) leave nor enter due to the difficult conditions.
Corvo does not have any infrastructure that supports yachts.
