Clearance

On arrival call either The Breakwater Marina, The Townsville Motorboat and Yacht Club or Rosshaven Marine on VHF channel 16 as soon as you are in range. They will be able to arrange for the officials to meet you at arrival and provide a berth.

Docking

Townsville offers the cruising sailor the choice of two marinas with all facilities: The Breakwater Marina and the Townsville Motorboat and Yacht Club. Both of them are situated close to the city centre with supermarkets and all amenities. The Duck Pond offers a free anchorage sheltered against the prevailing winds.

A 20 minute ferry ride away is the new marina at Magnetic Island.
