Puerto Madryn : Profile

Location

Puerto Madryn is on the western shore of the huge bay of Gulfo Nuevo which is a popular for it prolific sea life (whales, sea lions etc.).

Position 42º 45’S, 65º 01’W.

Clearance

Take your zarpe to the Prefectura at the office by the jetty. This must be done even if coming from another Argentinian port.

If leaving for a foreign port, then request an international zarpe.

Docking

There is an anchorage off the yacht club and it maybe possible to borrow a club mooring.

The bay is exposed to the north and east which can make the anchorage uncomfortable in winds from that direction.

The Club Nauco Atlanco Sud welcomes cruisers and has showers as well as a bar.
