  Codrington : Profile

Clearance

Customs and Immigration are located in Codrington and can be called on channel 16. Boats coming from another country cannot clear in at Barbuda and must do so first in Antigua. Boats visiting Barbuda must have a valid cruising permit issued in Antigua. Outward clearance can be obtained here but as it is a long way to the local offices, it is better to obtain outward clearance when clearing out of Antigua, mentioning the fact that one intends to visit Barbuda first.

Palaster Reef is a national park and no fishing with a speargun or rod is permitted.

Charts of Barbuda have been reported as unreliable because of coral growth, especially on the south side of the island.
